Naked Brains was a video installation produced for the exhibition Contemporary Love, as part of the Festival 48 Stunden Neukölln in 2020. At this exhibition four artists explored the topic of love during the Covid lockdowns. How does one create - in isolation - an own world to retreat into? What does a greatly reduced physical co-presence mean for one’s emotional sphere and sexuality? What are the possibilities and limits of representing oneself through digital data?

Innative Lab used a brain-computer interface to show the neural responses of an anonymous test person to different types of self-stimuli. The cocktail of hormones and neurotransmitters during sexual arousal are revealed in a form of a 3D visualization.
